Retiring Action Sets

In other news...

I have just released my NEWEST actions set. Its fabulous. Seriously. My favorite yet!

Also, I had the PLEASURE of working with a wonderful gal named Sarah on her new logo. She was a total gem to work for! I am so very happy with how her logo turned out I just have to share it!

It's late. 2:00 a.m. I'm a sophomore in college. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my friend, Kristie, who has been travelling overseas, and is going to spend the night at my apartment.

It's later. 3:00 a.m. Kristie has not arrived. I decide to go to bed. I take out my contacts, wash my fash, and get in bed. I hope to hear her knock.

A knock! She's here! I grab my glasses and run to the door. "Kristie!!!" We hug, and laugh, and talk. I follow her from the living room to the bathroom while she gets ready for bed. I hear all about her flight, the trip, and the countryside.

We sit on beds on opposite ends of the room, facing each other. As she is talking to me, my weary mind slowly comes to a conclusion. I cannot SEE her.

But why? I am wearing my glasses, aren't I? Confused, I take my glasses off and instantly realize why I can't see her.

I am wearing a pair of small, round, PURPLE-tinted sunglasses. Much like those of John Lennon.

So after flying for 23 hours, Kristie is greeted by me, wearing my pajamas and purple sunglasses, in the living room, the bathroom, and the bedroom. Talking and laughing the whole time.

So why do I need to win this contest? Because sometimes we can't see ourselves as others see us. I would love for you to design a logo for me so that I have an objective perspective for the design of my company.

I don't really have a funny reason as to why you should pick me for a free logo design, it's more about the fact that every time I save a little bit of money to put towards something on my photography wish list, my kids mess it up. Let me tell you about my day so far....

It's 7:00. I'm drinking coffee and checking emails. My kids (4and almost 2) are quietly watching PBS kids. Life is good.

My four year old comes in and informs me he has to poop. I tell him that I really don't need to know, he should just go....

It's very quiet. I hear the kids talking in the bathroom. My 2 year old is giggling with delight. I hear the toilet flush. I hear a scream...."Mom come quick" I run into the bathroom. The toilet is overflowing. There is poop on the floor. Both kids are standing in it. My 2 year old is soaked. Her hair and face are wet.

I turn the water off on the toilet and stick the kids in the tub so I can try to get the poop off the floor without making a bigger mess. I'm dry heaving. I ask what happened. I'm told "Gracie (the 2 year old) was giving her toothbrush a bath."

"In the toilet? With the poop?" Yup. "Did she brush her teeth?" Yup. I almost threw up..."Where's the toothbrush?" Yup, you guessed it....flushed down the toilet.

I've been plunging for an hour. Finally called the plumber. They will be over in a little while...Toilet will be fixed. Photography money will be gone.

It's 9:15

So, tho I'm not a photog, I'm super jealous of you all & your fabulous pictures...Well, a friend of mine (thanks Mel) pointed me toward some super specials @ Sears. I called my local & the one a town over, and score: They had ONE Digital Rebel XT on CLEARANCE for $325. I was on my way now! I got myself an XT & CF Card for $360. Deal of the day IMO. So now at least I can take some better pictures of my own!

So today, I doodled. And doodled some more. And I came up with these fab frames. So far, only ONE has been used for a design so if you're looking to order a logo & would like to see one of these used in YOUR logo, just tell me!

So, a little randomness never hurt anyone, so today I entertained myself and my 5 yr old with the following questions:

Why is the sky blue? So we can see. In the daylights.

Why is the grass green? Cuz grass has to be green. How come? It just HAS to. Grass makes sounds.

Why do the birds fly? So they can fly to the south from the winter.

Why is the sun hot? Cuz they have to be hot. How come? Cuz it has to be hot in the summer, that's why!

What are stars made of? Stars are made up of shiny things. What kind of shiny things? starshine things, that's yellow.

Why do dogs bark? Cuz thats the sound they make and they HAVE to bark.

Alright. There you have it. The logic of my 5 year old :) Have a great day!

OH gosh where have I been? Losing my mind, thats where! All this weather the past few days is making me stir crazy as well as my 5 yr old who is currently 'wrangling' her rocking chair with a jumprope. Yea. Its been one of those weeks. I said to a friend this morning, omg it's FRIDAY?! How did that happen? I mean, seriously. This week FLEW by and I got very little accomplished. OK wait. Thats a lie. I got OODLES of actions made, but my logo design has slowed tremendously. I have OPENINGS if anyones interested *hint hint* ... Also, don't forget about the 4th of July sale for an additional 20% off your logo design (20% no good on actions, mainly cuz they're pretty cheap already!) Anywho...here's a few logos I've done lately...Aren't they lovely?

Well. Now that things have slowed a bit, I actually have a few minutes to design a REAL Logo for myself as well as layout a new site design. The site will take a few days before it's a go, but here's a sneak peek of my new logo :) Im super happy with how it turned out and the versatility of it. Now, when I get sick of the colors, they are easily changed LOL
